StarWarsMMO.net Overhaul: New Design & Wiki
Thought you came to a completely different site? You’re still on StarWarsMMO.net, but we’ve undergone some major changes, starting with a complete facelift. You have Lynk Former, our site developer, to thank for the new look. We hope you find the new design both easier on the eyes and easier to navigate.
We are also proud to announce Star Wars MMO Wiki. We are looking to catalog all information about Star Wars: The Old Republic in this resource. Come launch, the wiki will be full of info on quests, items, classes, and more. And the best part? You can contribute. Feel free to edit anonymously, or create an account and add or contribute to any page related to a game element in SWTOR. In the future, you will be able to log in with your LucasForums account.
These updates are exciting for us and we hope you enjoy them just as much. As always, you are encouraged to leave feedback on both items, or anything with our site in general. We appreciate any suggestions we can get.
Updates to Site Design and Layout, Plus New Media
You have have noticed some changes to the site over the past few days, well it is getting to the point where I’m close to satisfied with how the site is laid out now. Now, rather than having the front page as a portal to the various sections of the site, you are brought straight to news. Another advantage to this new layout is that now virtually every page on the site should now be able to be navigated to in two clicks or less.
We also have updated our categorizing system, and now use tags rather than categories to keep track of our content. If you’re looking for posts on a certain topic, rather than wading through many posts inside of a general category, you can visit the archive page to get a listing of all topics on the site, as well as the historical archives that used to be in our news sidebar.
You might also notice a couple sections of the site we previously had are not around anymore. These would be the features and community sections. For our site features such as interviews, we will be implementing a new way to display those amongst our news posts so that they are highlighted. The rest of our features section consisted of the various trailers and videos released by the official site, and these now have their own home on the trailers page. As for the community section, it never became the section I wanted it to be and was really just a listing of links. These will all be a part of the site in some other form.
Look for more changes to be implemented soon. The site will be continuously updated not only with new content but the way you, the readers, navigate and use the site to give you the best experience possible.
Lastly, new media has been added to both the screenshots and concept art sections. We now have large galleries of screen captures from the developer walkthrough, as well as captures from the cinematic trailer. Enjoy!
I would love to hear feedback of any kind on the updates, as well as ideas for new features you’d like to see implemented. Make sure to leave a comment below!
Welcome to the New StarWarsMMO.net!
Welcome to the completely redesigned StarWarsMMO.net! We hope you enjoy the new look and features. We wanted to go with a different kind of site than LFN usually sees, because this game will be much larger than anything we’ve ever played from LucasArts or Bioware. So the site is divided up in to four sections: news, game info, features, and community. We will be constantly adding to these sections as more info and media is released for the game.
I hope you enjoy the site, and please let us know what you think in the comments!

Welcome to the brand new LucasArts Fan Network website for todays ‘big announcement’. We will be bringing you LIVE blogged coverage, courtesy of our friends over at VG247.com of todays big announcement coming from LucasArts.
What is this announcement? Well, after months of rumours and accidental confirmations – we expect the announcement to be a brand new Star Wars MMO, set in the Old Republic era.
Since it was announced that LucasArts would be working with KOTOR developers Bioware, rumours have been all over the internet.
So stay tuned and then head over to our brand new Old Republic forum. If this announcement is NOT the next Star Wars MMO, we will spend the next few days wiping egg off our faces!
May the force be with us.
