Watch EA’s E3 Press Conference Live

Want to know what is being announced about The Old Republic as it happens at this year’s E3? Well you’re in luck, as EA has partnered with Spike TV to broadcast the entire EA press conference live on Spike TV, as well as streamed online at Gametrailers, MTV.com, and EA.com. The event will feature news about SWTOR as well as other EA titles. The details of the broadcast were released via press release:

Spike TV, the #1 network for video game programming, today announced that it is working with leading game publisher Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ: ERTS) for an exclusive live, commercial-free telecast of the company’s 2011 showcase event at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the gaming industry’s leading trade show.

Broadcasting from the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, Gamechangers: EA 2011 Preview, premieres live nationwide Monday, June 6 at 3:30 PM ET/12:30 PM PT.

If you’re unable to catch the event live, don’t fret, as we will have live updates as they are announced available here.

GameSpot Hands On With The Old Republic

GameSpot has an exclusive pre-E3 hands on preview of The Old Republic where they got to play as 6 out of the 8 playable classes and gave their thoughts on each of them. The article also confirms the first playable alien race, Twi’lek. I suggest you head on over to GameSpot to check out the preview as it is quite lengthy and worth the read.

New Biographies Section on Holonet

A new section has been added to the Holonet on the official site to supplement what we have seen in Threat of Peace, developer walkthroughs, and the cinematic “Deceived” trailer called Biographies.

Just like the Classes, Planets, and Timelines sections, the Biographies archives will be expanded regularly, so check back often to make sure you get the latest updates!

Sean also added that we will be seeing some updates both at E3 this year and even before then.

SW:TOR Confirmed for E3, Plus Fan Friday

Developer Corner

We are treated to a quick look at a work-in-progress of the Sith Inquisitor using his Force Lightning ability in the Developer Corner video this week. You can check that out here.

Also, we get to take a look at some customization options for human females when creating your character in The Old Republic. This is really the first time we have seen different options laid out side by side like this and it looks pretty impressive!

Lastly, Star Wars: The Old Republic has been confirmed to be at E3 this year. This was basically already known from a SWTOR Tweet, but the events page has been updated listing it. StarWarsMMO.net will be present at E3 this year so look forward to some great info and exclusives like we were able to deliver last year.

No new content update on the official page today unfortunately, but they have given us an official rundown of the E3 presentation, as well as roundup of previews and a list of their various E3 awards.
