Friday Update: New Biographies and Fan Friday
This week’s update included three updates to the biographies section on the official site as well as spotlighting community work in Fan Friday.
New Biographies
Meet more of the compelling characters you’ll interact with in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. New additions have been added to the Biographies section of the HoloNet!
This update includes profiles of some of the most enigmatic characters in The Old Republic Era: the renegade ex-Republic General, Bouris Ulgo; the disillusioned Republic diplomat, Diab Duin; and the mysterious Imperial Spymaster known only as “Keeper“.
If you haven’t visited the Biographies section in awhile, you’ll notice that a few companion characters have been added as well. There are still more to come, so check back regularly. (Source)

Three Updates This Week to the Official Site
This week the Star Wars: The Old Republic website has been updated with three fairly major sections. We see the reveal of Darth Malgus, Dark Lord of the Sith and the Sith Lord seen in the Deceived trailer, in the form of a new novel also titled Deceived. There is also a new Holonet section, called Inhabitants, as well as several new characters added to the Biographies section.
Revealing Darth Malgus, Dark Lord of the Sith
You first experienced the devastating might of Darth Malgus on the day that changed the galaxy forever during the Sacking of Coruscant. Now you can learn more about the man behind the mask in the latest novel set in the same time period as Star Wars™: The Old Republic™!
New Holorecord Now Online: Inhabitants!
If you’ve been waiting for information about the colorful creatures, species, and droids that populate the galaxy, make sure to check out our new HoloNet expansion – Inhabitants! In this section you can find new information and media about the galactic inhabitants that will entertain – and challenge – you in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™.
Inhabitants will be updated regularly, so be sure to check back often to get the latest updates and information!
HoloNet Biographies Updated!
We’ve expanded the Biographies section of the HoloNet to include more of the exciting figures you will meet in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™!
This update includes profiles of three of the most influential people in The Old Republic era: Galactic Republic Special Forces commander, General Garza; the fierce warrior and sole ruler of the Mandalorians, Mandalore; and the star of the “Deceived” cinematic trailer, the ruthless Darth Malgus!
This is just the second in a series of regular updates to the Biographies section so be sure to check back regularly!
Biography Pages Aurebesh Translated
LucasForums member RogueJedi86 has translated the Aurebesh seen in the backgrounds of the three currently available biographies. They read as follows:
Satele Shan
“Jedi exiled her mother”, “A secret son”, and “Blood of Revan”
Nem’ro the Hutt
“Supports Hutt Cartel neutrality”, “Betrayed Skadge”, and “Hook end Rattataki Body Guards”
Grand Moff Kilran
“Defense of the secret prison”, “Personal combat expert”, and “Chasing the General”
Great job RogueJedi!
New Biographies Section on Holonet
A new section has been added to the Holonet on the official site to supplement what we have seen in Threat of Peace, developer walkthroughs, and the cinematic “Deceived” trailer called Biographies.
Curious about some of the characters you’ve seen in Threat of Peace™, the Developer Walkthrough, or the “Deceived” cinematic trailer? Now you can find out all about them!
We are thrilled to introduce a new expansion to our HoloNet archives: Biographies! Now you can view profiles of several of the galaxy’s most notable figures. Each entry highlights someone you may meet, travel with, or fight alongside or against as you help determine the future of the galaxy in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™!
Just like the Classes, Planets, and Timelines sections, the Biographies archives will be expanded regularly, so check back often to make sure you get the latest updates!
Sean also added that we will be seeing some updates both at E3 this year and even before then.
Biographies is the foundation for something more… what exactly that is, I can’t tell you quite yet. All I can say at this time is stay tuned; E3 2010 isn’t that far away and we actually have some exciting (and new) updates for you before then.
Expect to see a lot of interesting news and features come E3 this year!
