StarWarsMMO.net Giveaway: SWTOR Digital Deluxe & Standard Editions

To celebrate the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, we are holding a series of giveaways leading up to launch. Last week, we gave out some awesome SWTOR t-shirts. This round we are giving away three copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic, including one Digital Deluxe edition.

To enter to win is simple: Just complete each of the steps below and you will be entered to win. You can enter even if you entered our previous contest.

1) “Like” our StarWarsMMO.net Facebook Page:

2) Then do one of the following:
- Follow us on Twitter (@starwarsmmo) and retweet this post (including the #SWTOR hashtag)
- Or post a comment below (on this page, not on Facebook)

The contest will end on Friday, December 9 when we will pick three random winners to receive the games. You can Tweet the message as many times as you want, but only one will count as an entry. We will draw two names first for the standard editions, and then a final draw for the grand prize Digital Deluxe winner. The contest is only open to US residents ages 18 and over. Trust us, we’d love to allow all international countries and don’t mind shipping across the world, but due to legal shenanigans, we have to restrict it.

Terms & Conditions
No purchase necessary; Entries accepted December 1 through December 9 at 12:00pm EST; giveaway open to US residents 18 and older only, void where prohibited; One entry per person per household. See full Official Rules for more details.

Update: The giveaway is now over. We will update this post once the winners have been confirmed.

Update: Winners have been contacted through email or Facebook, check your messages to see if you’ve won! Winners must reply within 48 hours. Thanks to all who participated.

SWTOR Beta client will patch to launch version

For those of you in this past weekend’s game test (read: pretty much everyone) dreading having to re-download the game client come early access and launch time, fear not: Stephen Reid has confirmed that BioWare will be patching the client, so you can preserve your bandwidth. As long as you have the most recent version of the game client installed from the Thanksgiving weekend test, you will be good to go. If you were in testing before Thanksgiving weekend, it is recommended to reinstall, but not required. The Internet will appreciate it.

Across all eras, the Jedi Order has served the Galactic Republic as the guardians of peace, with the Jedi Knights being the majority of the Order. Masters of melee combat and armed with a lightsaber, Jedi Knights strive for peace through the guidance of the Force. Defenders of the diplomacy of the Galactic Republic, the Jedi Knights represent the first line of defense against all threats, whether that is the Sith or any other foes. Having Trouble With This Weekend’s Beta Stress Test?

Several folks that have been invited to participate in this weekend’s large scale stress testing are having issues getting connected and started. One of the most common issues is the “Play” button is grayed out and unusable for some users, but be sure to double-check your testing e-mail as your start time may not be until a later date, remember this weekend’s test is staggered! However if you are having any other issues with the Game Launcher, BioWare has posted a Troubleshooting Guide on the game’s forums so have a look there and see if they can’t help. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and best on luck on getting your Star Wars: The Old Republic fix over this holiday weekend; May the Force be With You.

This week’s Facebook images features the seedier side of Nar Shaddaa, as if a moon controlled by the Hutts and overrun with the galaxy’s filth wasn’t bad enough on its own.

Shrouded by the bright lights of upper Nar Shaddaa, the Undercity is home to countless gangs, cartels and fugitives.
